Emergency medicine has taken a rapid stride in the last decade or so; but, very few books are written by the authors keeping in mind the needs of both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students which is even more true in the subject of otorhinolaryngology. The author has made an honest attempt to include various aspects of emergencies in the field of ENT along with a few chapters from various contributory authors also, who are experts in their respective fields. A comprehensive chapter on maxillofacial trauma is given, as road traffic accidents causing facial injury and other trauma in head and neck area are increasing every year.
