The 5th edition of this book has been thoroughly revised and edited with an additional chapter on the Introduction to Osteology with added text at appropriate places and assigned competency number as given in the NMC directives. Thus, each bone and its sub-sections are shown with competency number and learning objectives. This is presented in a structured manner, amply supported with relevant diagrams and numerous tables for better understanding and easy recall. In addition, brief account of important clinical considerations with images provided at the end of the chapter will generate interest and instill a sense of purpose studying osteology. The questionnaire provided would be of great help for students to prepare for their viva-voce examinations.
