      Description

      Preventive Oncology as a subject has been evolving and continues to be, with advances in understanding regarding risk factors, etiopathogenesis, better and advanced diagnostic modalities and a leap changes in treatment, which focuses more on cure and quality of life. However, our country diversity in terms of health care facilities and infrastructure have been a major hurdles in terms of delivery of health care services. The cervical malignancy associated morbidity data and mortality data are still dismal, especially considering the World Health Organization declaration for the elimination of cervical cancer. An early diagnosis or better yet, effective prevention measure can be affected only if there is a good understanding of how to approach and evaluate a case with chance of or established gynecological malignancy. This workshop manual has been brought forth with the sole purpose of helping a busy, practicing gynecologist and postgraduate trainees to effect a proper approach and evaluation for proper diagnosis and timely treatment.
