Description
It is heartening to note that the 4th edition of “Diagnostic Procedures in Ophthalmology” was liked and well received by the readers. Thrilled and motivated by the response, the 5th edition of the book is launched. This edition of the book is dedicated to (Late) Dr HV Nema who edited the book for 20 long years.
“If we diagnose common things, we are commonly correct; if we diagnose rare things, we are rarely correct”. Going by this dictum, four new chapters on common diagnostic procedures are added in this edition of book—Clinical Refraction, Vital Dyes and Stains in Ophthalmology, Multimodal Imaging in Posterior Segment Diseases, and Orbital Imaging.
All the chapters of the previous edition of the book have been meticulously revised and updated by the eminent contributors. The authors have incorporated latest evidence-based information addressing the changes and advances in the field of ophthalmology. Further, the number of pictures and illustrations is increased for the better understanding of topics. This will enable the treating ophthalmologist to establish an early diagnosis of the disease and recommend the correct plan of management, thereby improving the prognosis of the patient.
It is expected that the residents pursuing ophthalmology, fellows in subspecialities of ophthalmology, and practicing ophthalmologists will find the 5th edition of “HV Nema’s Diagnostic Procedures in Ophthalmology” book useful.
